Here are some important facts you should know about this free service:
You Must Indicate the Physical Location of your MPINGI Line for 311 Dialing to Function

• MPINGI service is portable to any location with broadband Internet access - when you travel, 311 Dialing will automatically route your call to the public information and service center for the address on file, not your temporary location.
  
• You must activate 911 Dialing service in order to have access to 311 Dialing services. To activate 911 Dialing, you'll just have to fill out a short form during the sign up process that tells us your street address.
  
• Keep in mind that when you move, you MUST provide your new location. You can conveniently update your new location online. It may take several days to update your record.
• Since your 311 call could be from anywhere, we need you to verify the physical location of your phone in order to activate this 311 dialing feature from your phone.
  
• *Note that 311 access depends on its availability within your area. Typically, only people within a given city's limits can dial 311. Contact your community information center for more details.

Service Outages Can Prevent 311 Dialing

• 311 Dialing and MPINGI Service DO NOT function during an electrical power or broadband provider outage
• MPINGI currently offers basic 911 or enhanced 911
• 311 Dialing is Free!
• You must provide a physical location for 311 Dialing
• The 311 Dialing service is not available everywhere in the United States

MPINGI SoftPhone is a screen-based interface that works just like your telephone keypad. You can make a call, receive a call, and pick up your voicemails too. And because it's MPINGI, you get the extras that you've come to expect, like Caller ID with Name, Call Forwarding, and more.

• The setup is simple. Sign up through your My MPINGI account. Download the software and load it on the device of your choice
• Simply point and click to speak through your computer (PCs/Macs/Laptops)

Important: 911 Dialing Notes
MPINGI SoftPhone usage is a mobile activity and it is not compatible with E911 or Basic 911. However, if you dial 911 from your SoftPhone your call will be routed to the MPINGI emergency call center. A trained agent will answer your call and contact an emergency center near you to dispatch help. You must provide your location and call back information to the answering agent and the local personnel they contact. Please be assured that using MPINGI SoftPhone does not affect 911 Dialing with your other MPINGI lines.

Call Forwarding
Call Forwarding can be done up to 6 numbers. You can send incoming calls to any phone number you choose in the US and Canada. It is available to all MPINGI customers and is absolutely free.

Call Waiting
Call Waiting allows you to accept an incoming call while you're already on a phone call. This feature places your first call on hold while you answer the second incoming call. Call waiting is a part of MPINGI service. You do not have to pay extra to use this facility.
